November

With winter fast approaching and the cold weather already starting to set in, please send your child to school with appropriate outside gear.  We want to keep all students healthy and cold free, and being warmly dressed will help with that.

We are starting Unit 3 in Math.  Fractions are back! We are starting off slowly, with a little review and some introductory lessons on how to multiply. We will slowly work our way into more challenging concepts. I have suggested to students that they bring their activity books home, so parents can see how we are learning.  If this is something you are interested in, please tell your child to bring it home.

Our next Reading and Writing unit will involve Biographies! I am looking forward to researching various topics in our classroom.

New Science rotations start next week.  Students will be going to Mrs. Dailey’s classroom to learn about Health and Nutrition.

Dates to remember:

11/12 = Late Start

11/27&11/28 = No School Thanksgiving Break

We have had our first official communication with our Korean pen pals!  Students are very excited to continue sharing with their partners. Please encourage your child to show you the website.

Remember to check your child’s agenda and take home folder daily.  It is important to have a positive attitude about school and encourage your child to always try their best! We want our classroom to be a productive and positive learning environment!
